Sean learned the game of golf from his father at an early age. Playing golf throughout high school, among other sports, Sean was able to receive a scholarship to play golf at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Sean worked his way up through the lineup, ultimately being named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year his senior year at UNCW.

After college, Sean played golf professionally for 7 years, on various mini tours, qualifying for some Korn Ferry tour events. After deciding to stop playing professionally, Sean was the Head Professional at Milburn Country Club (2010–2015), Oakwood Country Club (2015–2017), and Blue Hills Country Club (2017–2022).

Sean was able to qualify and compete in the 2011 PGA Championship (Atlanta Athletic Club) and the 2015 PGA Championship (Whistling Straits), as well as qualify for the 2015 PGA Cup Team. In 2022 Sean met the owners of GolfTRK and started teaching the game he loves fulltime. Now as the Director of Golf, Sean focuses on growing the game through teaching, club fitting, and events at the greatest indoor golf facility — GolfTRK.
